Electric bike insurance

Electric bikes are an increasingly popular form of transport. And with the introduction of the electric MTB (mountain bike) and legislation in April 2015 allowing for increased power from a maximum of 200W to 250W, their appeal is set to widen further. But whilst they are a great form of transport, they often cost in excess of £750 brand new which is a fair amount to find should your electric bike be stolen or damaged and you are left having to replace or repair it.

With Cycleguard, you can insure your electric bike against theft and accidental damage. We believe in letting the customer create their own electric bike insurance cover – so we start you off with the base cover and give you a range of options to play with allowing you to create the cover that suits you.

Many cyclists are becoming more aware of the need to have liability cover, so that in the event you cause an accident or damage to a third party whilst on your bike, you are protected against third party claims. Our Cycleguard Roadcare policy is great for cyclists who only require public liability cover and no bicycle or accessory insurance.

There are many different electric bikes on the market but whether you ride a PowaCycle, Momentum, Kudos or Byocycle make sure you and your bike are covered by Cycleguard electric bicycle insurance.

I was delighted with the service and help I got today from Cycleguard. I needed to make a claim and was talked through the process. Tom was a pleasure to talk to and extremely helpful.
